Health Research Council of New Zealand Medal.
This award is presented to an individual or team who have had a significant piece of research published* in the previous calendar year that has made a significant contribution to health and medical science.
Discipline: Medical and health sciences
Award offered: yearly
Prize: medal
The Liley Medal is for a research contribution from the previous calendar year. Authors must have permission for dissemination from the publisher. The eligible work must also have been carried out and published while the health researcher was predominantly in New Zealand. An accumulated body of work to mark a career contribution over a number of years does not meet the criteria for the award.
The 2017 Liley Medal will be presented at the Royal Society Research Honours dinner, on Tuesday 10 October in Auckland. Accommodation and transport will be arranged for the recipient and guest (which may be a representative from the team).
The call for nominations for the 2017 round is closed.
