The Royal Society Te Apārangi Early Career Research Excellence Award for Humanities is awarded annually for the encouragement of early-career researchers currently based in New Zealand for humanities research in New Zealand. The Early Career Research Excellence Award for Humanities consists of a framed certificate and $2,500.
This award will normally be only awarded to one person per year.

The 2025 round is now closed. Nominations for 2026 will open in January 2026.
