Horizon Scanning Series
The reports in this series draw on expertise from within New Zealand and Australia to analyse the future, navigate change and highlight opportunities for each country. They are produced by the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA) and the Society in collaboration.
About the Horizon Scanning Series
We live in a time of rapid change. Change that is driven by developments in science and technology, and challenged by our capacity to adapt in the present and prepare for the future.
The recent Australia + New Zealand Science, Research and Innovation Cooperation Agreement provides a platform for the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA) and the Royal Society of New Zealand (Royal Society Te Apārangi) to collaborate to deliver interdisciplinary horizon-scanning projects to both governments.
The horizon scanning projects draw on leading expertise from the sciences, social sciences, health and medical sciences, technological sciences, the humanities and the arts, to present independent and timely analyses for both countries to guide decision-makers through the decade ahead.
