Nicola Gaston FRSNZ: Self-organisation of structure in low-temperature liquid metals
Liquid metals are fascinating systems that exhibit surprising structural diversity, and that can also interact strongly with other elements. This presentation will describe some of the simulations we have performed to understand the fascinating processes of self-organisation that lead to novel structures and function, from Turing patterns to catalysis.
