Over the last one hundred years Antarctic exploration has increasingly revealed the icy continent to be dynamic, changing, and more vulnerable than we ever imagined. Far from the passive and remote wasteland it was first thought to be, Antarctica actively regulates the global climate and the rising seas that are already impacting our coasts.
