Larvae of marine invertebrates are a critical part of an organism’s life-history, providing the opportunity for dispersal beyond the location of the parents. Morphologically diverse, and beautiful, they are an important component of the plankton, in the lower part of the food web, and particularly vulnerable to anthropogenic change.
