Kia ora koutou! My name is Jaime Toepfer and I live in Wanaka, where I enjoy skiing, tramping, swimming and exploring the outdoors with my friends and family.
I am currently in Year 13 at Mount Aspiring College. I study NCEA Level 3 French, classics, physics and maths, and take law, international relations and calculus university papers by correspondence. I am interested in the humanities as well as STEM and would like to study both physics and law at university.
I am very honoured to have been selected to attend the London International Youth Science Forum and am excited to meet other young people who share my enthusiasm for using science to make a difference. I believe the forum will give me a better understanding of what a career in science might look like, allow me to explore my interests more in-depth and learn from some of the most accomplished scientists in their fields.
