Ella Creagh
Ella Creagh has recently been selected to attend the 2018 London International Youth Science Forum.
Hello, my name is Ella Creagh. I live in Alexandra in Central Otago with my mum, dad and younger sister. I am currently in Year 13 and am the Head Girl of Dunstan High School. I study chemistry, biology, English, physics and statistics at school and am particularly interested in genetics and neuroscience. I play football, row and love adventuring in the outdoors with my family.
I am very honoured to have been selected to attend the 2018 London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF). This forum was founded in 1959 and is designed to connect young, motivated and like-minded students from across the world and provide them with two weeks of diverse and inspiring opportunities to learn about science, about themselves and about the world around them.
My passion for science is something that evolved though my love of reading, writing and communicating. Through the opportunity to attend LIYSF I hope to co-develop both of these passions so I have the ability to share the knowledge I gain with others, so that they too can be inspired by the realm of science. I hope to pursue this goal by studying a Bachelor of Arts and Science at the University of Otago next year.
I am very excited to be attending LIYSF and see it as an amazing opportunity to build on my leadership skills, fuel my curiosity and learn how to encourage others to do the same.
