Reviewing proposals
Information of how to register an expression of interest for reviewing catalyst proposals, guidelines for reviewers, and previous reviewers.
Reviewers are essential to the Catalyst Fund assessment process. Significant funding decisions will be made on the basis of your assessment. As a Reviewer, you will be asked to grade and comment on all proposals submitted to you as reviewer. All proposals will be reviewed remotely and there is no requirement to attend a meeting in person.
Benefits of reviewing
Serving as a reviewer provides an opportunity for experienced researchers to gain insights into the Catalyst: Leaders and Catalyst: Seeding assessment processes. While Reviewers are bound by confidentiality and are not in a position to discuss the merits of individual proposals, they can bring knowledge of the processes involved back to their research communities. No honorarium is anticipated.
Expression of Interest (EOI) for Catalyst Fund Reviewers
The Society aims to establish a pool of expert reviewers that can be called upon to review proposals for calls submitted to Catalyst: Leaders and Catalyst: Seeding. For this purpose, the Society is calling for Expression of Interest (EOI) from experienced researchers/individuals wishing to assist with the assessment of proposals.
For more detailed information on the review process, please see the Guidelines for Catalyst Leaders Reviewers and Guidelines for Catalyst Seeding Reviewers.
To be considered for the next open Catalyst funding round (January call), the EOI must be received by the Society no later than Thursday 4 Paenga-whāwhā April 2024.
