Professor Philip Hulme FRSNZ - The Leonard Cockayne Lecturer for 2018

Professor Philip Hulme FRSNZ from Lincoln University has been selected as the Leonard Cockayne Lecturer for 2018.

The Leonard Cockayne Lecture Award commemorates the life and work of Leonard Cockayne by the encouragement of botanical research in New Zealand. Leonard Cockayne FRS FRSNZ (7 April 1855 – 8 July 1934) is regarded as one of New Zealand's greatest botanists and a founder of modern science in New Zealand.

The award is offered every three years and the winner delivers the Leonard Cockayne Lecture around some of the Society’s Branches.
