Season's Greetings

Season's greetings from Royal Society Te Apārangi. We sign off with a video highlight from the year: Treaty sung by Moana Maniapoto at the New Zealand Research Honours Dinner.

2017 has been an exciting year for Royal Society Te Apārangi as we celebrated our 150th Anniversary of exploring, discovering and sharing knowledge in New Zealand. One of the highlights, however, was at this year’s New Zealand Research Honours where one of our leading artistic provocateurs, a performer who has kept an affirmation for women, Māori and Māoritanga as a cornerstone of her music and public life, Moana Maniapoto closed the ceremony with a mesmerising performance of her song Treaty from her album Rua.
