Navigating the Complexity of Climate Change Adaptation - Global Learnings from UKCIP

Efforts to understand the nature and scope of climate change adaptation can seem complex and hard to pin down. It is no longer considered defeatist to invest time and resources in adaptation, rather an essential action to reduce the negative costs and impacts of climate change. Over the past 20 years, The UK Climate Impacts Programme (UKCIP) has developed its risk based approach to navigating this complexity to help decision-makers identify and manage their climate risks in the face of uncertainty. The UKCIP Adaptation Wizard has been used by many businesses and organisations both in the UK and internationally. During this webinar session UKCIP will discuss how the Wizard was developed and applied, and case studies of it's application.

Currently UKCIP is delivering an adaptation and resilience knowledge exchange network in the built environment and infrastructure sectors to bring together researchers and stakeholders. It provides a UK-wide network to develop and exchange knowledge and evidence from across the research community to better inform policy and practice.
