Mātauranga Māori and science: Living and working at the interface | Palmerston North

Emeritus Professor Sir Mason Durie on his experiences working with both mātauranga Māori and a western-based science approach, and the opportunities to approach a rounded and inclusive Aotearoa in the 21st century.

Sir Mason Durie will discuss the perspectives that two bodies of knowledge, mātauranga Māori and science academia, each bring to bio-ethics and other contemporary endeavours. The opportunities between the two world views as well as the conflicts will be considered within the context of modern New Zealand.
