Inside the Nobel

7 December | Dunedin. Five experts from the University and beyond have the challenge of explaining, in only 10 minutes, the significance of the 2017 Nobel Prizes in Peace, Literature and the Sciences.

This exciting event is in its third year and is run by the Otago Institute for the Arts and Sciences and supported by iCAN Aotearoa New Zealand, the Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technology, the Otago Museum and the University of Otago.

This year's speakers are:

  • Edwina Hughes – Coordinator, iCAN Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Dr Jörg Hennig – Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Otago
  • Dr Alexander Tups – Department of Physiology, University of Otago
  • Dr Josie Carter – Department of English and Linguistics, University of Otago
  • Dr Mihnea Bostina – Department of Microbiology and Immunology, University of Otago
