FLYING HIGH – the photography of Lloyd | Wellington

Simon Nathan will give an illuminating talk on “Disaster man” Lloyd Homer.

Lloyd Homer is one of New Zealand’s leading scientific photographers. Working at GNS Science (formerly NZ Geological Survey) for over 35 years, he was on hand to record the impact of events such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and landslides. In the later part of his career he specialised in aerial photography, recording both landscapes around New Zealand.

Simon Nathan - who will be giving the talk on Lloyd's photography - is a Wellington-based geologist and science writer who has worked for many years with Lloyd Homer.

Simon will also be speaking at the National Library auditorium on Thursday 10 October, at 12.10pm.
