Falling Walls Lab New Zealand 2019
Great Minds. 3 Minutes. 1 Day.
A showcase for the next generation of outstanding innovators and creative thinkers.
Royal Society Te Apārangi, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, would like to invite honoured guests, friends and family, and members of the public to attend Falling Walls Lab New Zealand.
Falling Walls Lab is a challenging, inspiring and interdisciplinary format to showcase the next generation of outstanding innovators and creative thinkers. In three-minute presentations, selected participants pitch their innovative research project, business model or social initiative relevant to the world today, to their peers, the interested public and a distinguished jury - promoting ideas and fostering interdisciplinary networks.
The event is inspired by the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989, with the question of every Falling Walls gathering being: Which walls will fall next?
Falling Walls Labs are held at locations across the globe and the winners from each Lab will be invited to the Falling Walls Lab finale in Berlin on 8 November 2019. This Falling Walls Lab finale is run by the Falling Walls Foundation.
Falling Walls Lab New Zealand is additionally supported by the Royal Society Te Apārangi’s Early Career Researcher Forum, the German–New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Falling Walls Foundation.
Free Admission. You are welcome to turn up on the day, however, with limited seating available, we recommend registering by following the booking links.
