ANZCCART Conference 2017 | Queenstown

2-4 September

Maintaining social license in a changing world

Earlybird registrations are now closed, however, if you haven’t already registered for this year's ANZCCART Conference, there are still places left.

This conference reflects our view that the responsible use of animals in research and teaching is a socially positive activity, which ought to be defended freely.

Society continues to afford the research and teaching community its continued consent because the legal framework under which we operate is well enough trusted. While societies viewpoint has shifted over the years, the direction is always towards greater not less attention to animal welfare.

We will have an exciting line-up of speakers covering a wide range of topics from addressing social license in different contexts, to advances in replacement, reduction and refinement technologies, lessons from animal ethics committee front lines, and animal handling. We will also celebrate winners of the AEC Member of the Year, Animal Care Technician award, and the student essay competition.

It promises to be an exciting conference and we are looking forward to welcoming you here.

This conference is a part of Queenstown Research Week.
