Everyone can become a Friend of Royal Society Te Apārangi. Join with us to support New Zealanders to explore, discover and share knowledge.
By becoming a Friend of Royal Society Te Apārangi, not only do you help the work we do supporting New Zealanders to explore, discover and share knowledge, you also get a range of benefits:
- Invitations and early notifications of our events
- Free or discounted tickets (at least 15% discount) for our events
- Other occasional discounts and special offers (for example, discount offers on books from selected New Zealand publishers)

Subscription
Friends pay an annual subscription of $30 (rebated to 50% for Friends who join during the second half of the subscription year).
Annual subscriptions (in New Zealand dollars) include GST. The subscription year runs from 1 July.
Friend or Member?
We welcome everyone to become a Friend, but if you are or have been involved in the knowledge, science, technology or humanities sectors, we encourage you to consider applying to become a Member instead.
